There are yachts that are immediately recognizable. Not for their size — 50 meters is not uncommon in Côte d’Azur ports. Not for their shipyard — Tankoa is respected but not yet universally known to the general public. No — RILASSATA stands out for something more subtle: its sand beige hull with black waterline stripes and a red band on the superstructure. A visual signature that few owners dare to adopt — and which places RILASSATA in a class of its own among production superyachts.
Delivered in July 2024 by the Genoese shipyard Tankoa Yachts, RILASSATA is the sixth hull of the S501 EVO program — the evolved version of the best-selling S501 launched in 2017. It made its public debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 where it was the largest yacht on display. A remarkable debut for a remarkable yacht.
RILASSATA is available for crewed charter through International Yachts Charter and Brokerage — in the Mediterranean from May to October and in the Caribbean from December to February. Here is everything you need to know before booking.
Tankoa Yachts — The Shipyard Redefining the 50-Meter Segment
Founded in Genoa in 2007, Tankoa Yachts has established itself in less than 20 years as one of the most influential boutique shipyards in the 45-70 meter segment. The shipyard’s philosophy is simple and radical: each yacht is built around the owner’s specific desires — not the other way around.
The S501 program, launched in 2017 with the first hull Vertige, demonstrated that a production yacht could be as customized as a bespoke order. Six hulls sold in less than 8 years — a record in this price category. Each unit is recognizable as part of the family but distinct in its details — proof that a proven platform can support an infinite number of personal expressions.
The exterior design of all S501s is by Francesco Paszkowski — the Florentine naval architect whose studio also designed ANNAMIA, our 43-meter Baglietto available for charter. RILASSATA’s interiors were developed by Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini — a first for this program, bringing a feminine and contemporary dimension to the living spaces.
The S501 EVO — What Has Changed from the Previous Generation
The S501 EVO is not a simple restyling — it is a structural evolution of the original platform. The improvements are concrete and measurable:
Larger windows — fewer mullions between the glazing on the main deck and lower deck. The result is immediate: more natural light in the interiors, a permanent visual connection with the sea from all cabins.
An enlarged sundeck of 10 m² — a considerable additional surface on a 50-meter yacht. Outdoor space is the most valuable asset on board — Tankoa understood this.
A more open main salon — the removal of partitions between the aft cockpit and the interior salon creates a continuity of space that fundamentally changes the feeling of life on board.
A flexible layout configuration — Tankoa offers a freedom of configuration on the S501 EVO that few production shipyards can match. RILASSATA is the most successful demonstration of this.

RILASSATA — An Unusual Layout That Makes All the Difference
What distinguishes RILASSATA from its sister-ships is its “unusual” layout — in Tankoa’s own words. A spatial organization conceived by a French owner who dared to challenge conventions.
The Master Suite on the Upper Deck
On most superyachts, the owner’s suite is on the main deck. On RILASSATA, it has been moved to the upper deck — exclusively reserved for the owner. An entire private deck, with a 360° panoramic view, accessible only from the private interior staircase. For charter, this space becomes the main suite for guests seeking maximum privacy.
The Gym and Games Room
Where most owners would have placed an additional cabin or storage space, RILASSATA’s owner made a bold choice: a full gym and a games room with a balcony opening onto the sea — located forward on the main deck.
The games room is one of the most remarkable features on board. A retro arcade machine stands at the entrance to the salon — the first hint of this yacht’s unique personality. Visitors to the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 unanimously cited it as the most unexpected and memorable space they had seen on board a superyacht.
The Sand Beige Hull — A Courageous Choice
The vast majority of superyachts feature a white or grey hull. RILASSATA’s owner chose sand beige — a warm, Mediterranean color that captures light differently depending on the time of day. With black waterline stripes and a red band on the superstructure, RILASSATA is immediately recognizable in any port on the Côte d’Azur or in the Caribbean.
This color choice is not insignificant — it reflects the philosophy of the entire yacht. RILASSATA does not seek to resemble others. It embraces its character.
The Interiors
RILASSATA’s main salon opens onto a marquetry wood fresco depicting birds, scenes from Greek tragedy, foliage, and the sea — a motif that repeats as a leitmotif throughout all interior spaces. This is naval craftsmanship in the noblest sense of the term — each wooden panel is a unique piece.
The salon combines two distinct functions: a formal dining area forward with a giant TV screen, and an open, convivial lounge area aft. The two spaces communicate naturally without physical partitions — continuity is complete.
The finishes are what one would expect from a shipyard of this reputation: fine woodwork, marble, premium leather, programmable ambient LED lighting. But it is the personality of the choices — the arcade machine, the fresco, the hull color — that gives RILASSATA its unique character.

Performance and Navigation
An Aluminum Sub-500 GT Hull
The S501 EVO’s aluminum hull is one of Tankoa’s smartest technical choices. Lighter than steel for improved performance. More robust than GRP for offshore navigation. And above all — at 495 GT, RILASSATA remains below the 500 GT threshold, which would trigger more restrictive commercial regulations for charter.
This sub-500 GT positioning is a strategic decision — it allows RILASSATA to navigate in the most exclusive areas of the Mediterranean and Caribbean with maximum operational flexibility.
The Draft — 2.25 Meters for 50 Meters
2.25 meters of draft for a 49.8-meter LOA yacht — this is exceptional in this category. Most 50-meter superyachts draw 2.5 to 3 meters. This shallow depth allows RILASSATA to access anchorages inaccessible to its direct competitors — the shallow coves of Corsica, the lagoons of the Caribbean, the secret calas of the Balearic Islands.
In Sardinia in particular — the Maddalena Archipelago, Cala Brandinchi, Cala Goloritze — the 2.25-meter draft makes all the difference between anchoring in the cove or staying offshore.
Range — 4,000 Miles Without Constraints
With 65,000 liters of fuel capacity, RILASSATA boasts a range of 4,000 nautical miles at economic speed. That’s Monaco → Saint Barthélemy without a technical stop. This is the absolute freedom of navigation that only a true explorer yacht can offer in a 50-meter format.
RILASSATA in the Mediterranean — Ideal Destinations
The French Riviera — Summer
RILASSATA is available in the Mediterranean from May to October. Its profile — recognizable beige hull, strong visual presence, unique interiors — makes it the ideal charter yacht for the major event weeks on the French Riviera.
In Monaco during the Grand Prix, RILASSATA is one of the most striking presences in Port Hercule — its sand beige hull contrasts with the usual whites and greys of neighboring superyachts. In Cannes during the Festival, its 49.8 meters and unique aesthetic create a natural media presence in the bay.
The Balearic Islands — Ibiza and Formentera
The 2.25-meter draft allows RILASSATA to access the most beautiful coves of Ibiza and Formentera — Es Vedra, Cala Comte, Ses Illetes. Anchorages usually reserved for sailboats and small motor yachts, now accessible aboard a 50-meter luxury yacht.
Italy — Sardinia and Capri
Sardinia is RILASSATA’s benchmark Italian destination — Porto Cervo, the Maddalena Archipelago, the beaches of the Costa Smeralda. Capri and the Amalfi Coast complete an incomparable Mediterranean itinerary.
RILASSATA in the Caribbean — The Winter Season
From December to February, RILASSATA heads to the Caribbean — the high Caribbean season. Main base: Saint Barthélemy, Martinique, or Saint Martin depending on the itinerary.
The 4,000-mile range allows for free navigation between islands without refueling constraints — from the Lesser Antilles to the Greater Antilles, from Saint Barth to the Grenadines. The 2.25-meter draft opens up anchorages impossible for most superyachts of this LOA in the Caribbean lagoons.
Charter Rates — Full Transparency
RILASSATA applies a four-tier pricing structure that reflects the actual seasonality of the market:
| Period | Weekly rate | Daily Rate |
|---|---|---|
| High Season (Jul-Aug & Caribbean Dec-Feb) | €385,000 excl. VAT | €64,000 ex. VAT |
| Mid-Season (May, Jun, Sep) | €280,000 excl. VAT | €46,000 ex. VAT |
| Low Season (Mar, Apr, Oct, Nov) | €210,000 excl. VAT | €35,000 excl. VAT |
A €30,000 security deposit is required for all charters — fully refunded after the charter. Standard MYBA contract. APA estimated at 25-30% of the base rate.
The low season at €210,000/week is the most accessible opportunity to experience RILASSATA — Mediterranean spring or golden autumn in October, with often better sailing conditions than in high season.
Why Choose RILASSATA Over Another 50-Meter Yacht
It is new — delivered in July 2024, RILASSATA benefits from the manufacturer’s warranty and the most current technological equipment. Zero compromise on reliability.
It is unique — its sand beige hull, games room, gym with opening balcony, and marquetry wood fresco are elements that no other charter yacht possesses. You will not go unnoticed.
It is flexible — the 2.25-meter draft and 4,000-mile range open up destinations and anchorages inaccessible to most of its direct competitors.
It is authentic — RILASSATA’s personality reflects real choices made by an owner with a vision. It is not a catalog yacht — it is a yacht with a soul.
