Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is the premier sailing event on the Mediterranean coast. From September 26 to October 4, 2026, the Gulf of Saint-Tropez welcomes approximately 250 exceptional vessels—classic sailing yachts, some over a century old, legendary J-Class yachts, competitive Maxi Yachts, and ultra-modern prototypes. It is a nautical spectacle that no other Mediterranean event can match.
For clients wishing to experience Les Voiles at the highest level, a superyacht charter anchored in the Gulf during the event week is the gold standard—offering views of the regattas from the deck, direct access to the Village des Voiles parties by tender, and the comfort of a private space away from the crowds on shore.
This guide details everything you need to know to organize your charter during Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2026.

Why Charter a Yacht during Les Voiles
The Spectacle from the Gulf
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is an event that cannot truly be seen from land. The regatta courses span 25 to 35 miles across the Gulf—yachts are often several miles offshore during the races. From the harbor quays, you see the starts and finishes. From a superyacht anchored in the Gulf, you are at the heart of the regattas for their entire duration.
The Maxi Yachts race off Pampelonne—exactly where superyachts usually anchor during the summer. During Les Voiles, this same anchorage becomes the front row for the most exclusive spectacle in Mediterranean sailing.
An Ideal Pricing Period
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez takes place in late September—between the high and low seasons. Charter rates are significantly lower than in July and August, with only a slight increase compared to the standard low season. It offers some of the best value for money of the year—a world-class event at mid-season rates.
Our Saint-Tropez yacht charter prices page details rates by season and event.
The Monaco Yacht Show + Les Voiles Combination
The Monaco Yacht Show takes place from September 23 to 26—the two events overlap on September 26-27. For clients attending both, a transfer cruise from Monaco to Saint-Tropez (4.5 hours) between the two dates can be perfectly arranged on the same vessel. Our team manages the complete logistics.
How to Follow the Regattas from Your Yacht
Positioning in the Gulf
Your captain will position the yacht according to the day’s courses—regatta plans are published every morning by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez. The two main areas are:
Pampelonne Zone — course for the Maxi Yachts since the start of Les Voiles. Your superyacht anchored in the Pampelonne area provides a front-row view of the Maxis—the largest and fastest sailing yachts in the event.
Portalet Zone — course for Modern and Classic Yachts. Anchorage closer to the port of Saint-Tropez.
The Tender — An Essential Tool
Your tender serves two distinct purposes during Les Voiles:
Approaching yachts in the race — in zones authorized for spectator craft, your tender can get as close as possible to the racing yachts. The sensation of being just a few meters from a century-old J-Class in full race is incomparable.
Access to the Village des Voiles — every evening, your tender transports you from your anchorage in the Gulf to the port of Saint-Tropez for the Village des Voiles festivities. Live music, prize ceremonies, a festive atmosphere—and a return to the boat at the end of the night.
Which Yacht to Choose for Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez?
The ideal format for Les Voiles is a 30 to 45-meter motor superyacht with a flybridge—the height of the flybridge offers an unobstructed view of the regattas over other spectator vessels.
Our ABELY (OCEA 33 m, refit 2024, 2 m draft) — a compact and maneuverable format, ideal for repositioning quickly according to the courses. From €28,000/week in low season.
Our ASCENSION (Couach 37 m, 25 knots) — the speed of ASCENSION is a concrete advantage for Les Voiles: rapid repositioning between race zones and access to the Village des Voiles in minutes. From €100,000/week.
Our RAY (Numarine 32XP 2025, steel hull) — the stability of the steel hull is appreciated during a week of extended anchorage in the Gulf. 7-meter RIB for approaching racing yachts. From €90,000/week.
Our ANNAMIA (Baglietto 43 m) — the benchmark format for groups of 10 to 12 people wishing to combine the Monaco Yacht Show + Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. From €120,000/week.
The Autumn 2026 Sequence — 4 Events in 3 Weeks
