Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is the premier sailing event on the Mediterranean coast and one of the most beautiful nautical spectacles in the world. From September 26 to October 4, 2026, the Gulf of Saint-Tropez becomes the stage for an exceptional gathering — approximately 250 extraordinary boats converge in the turquoise waters of the Var: classic sailing yachts, some over a century old, legendary J-Class yachts, competitive Maxi Yachts, and ultra-modern prototypes all sail together in the same waters, under the golden light of the Provençal autumn.
Founded in 1981 following a sporting challenge between two yacht owners departing from Club 55 — an American Swan 44 against a 12-Metre JI — Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez has been organized by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez since 1999. Their motto says it all: “the most beautiful regattas on the water and the best atmosphere on shore.”
Chartering a superyacht during Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2026 means experiencing this event from the best possible vantage point — anchored in the Gulf, as close as possible to the racing yachts, with your dedicated crew and an on-board chef. An experience that dockside spots and harbor terraces simply cannot match.
International Yachts Charter and Brokerage has been supporting its clients during Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez for several seasons.
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez takes place from Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily in the Gulf.
Event Structure:
Saturday, September 26 – Sunday, September 27 — Competitor registration and inaugurations. Arrival of classic yachts from Cannes (Yacht Club de France Autumn Cup). Inauguration of the Village des Voiles with live music.
Monday, September 28 — First day of regattas. Departure of Maxi Yachts from Pampelonne, and Modern and Classic Yachts from Portalet. Regattas begin at 11:00 AM.
Tuesday, September 29 to Friday, October 2 — Daily regattas: Tradition Yachts (Rolex Trophy), IRC Modern Yachts, Maxi Yachts. Village des Voiles entertainment every evening from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. SNSM Sardinade evening at the red lighthouse.
Friday, October 2 — Challenge Day — Club 55 Cup, Centenary Regatta (Gstaad Yacht Club Trophy), Match Race Wally. La Pétanque des Voiles at Place des Lices in the evening.
Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 — Finals. Maxi Yachts prize-giving ceremony on Saturday evening, closing ceremony on Sunday. Closing of the Village des Voiles.
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez brings together boats in the same waters that never sail together during the rest of the year. Century-old classic yachts — some of which were racing before World War I — compete alongside ultra-modern foiling Maxi Yachts capable of exceeding 30 knots. This unique blend of maritime heritage and cutting-edge technology is the heart of the event.
From a superyacht anchored in the Gulf, the spectacle is complete. The sailing yachts pass within reach, crews call out to one another, and the starting cannons echo across the water — an immersion in the event that spectators on shore cannot achieve.
The Voiles regattas are contested over several courses in the Gulf depending on the classes:
Your superyacht anchored in the Gulf is positioned by our team to offer the best view of the courses. Your captain knows the navigation zones reserved for spectators and the optimal positions based on wind direction. At the start and end of the races, your tender allows you to get as close as possible to the yachts in authorized areas.
Every evening from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, the Village des Voiles at the foot of the harbor brings Saint-Tropez to life with live concerts, prize-giving ceremonies, and a unique festive atmosphere. La Pétanque des Voiles at Place des Lices, the crew party, the Club 55 dinner — each day of racing concludes with a memorable evening on shore.
Our team coordinates reservations at the best restaurants and establishments in Saint-Tropez during Les Voiles — Club 55, Café Dior des Lices, Les Caves du Roy — during a period when the most sought-after tables are booked weeks in advance.
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez (Sept 26 – Oct 4) overlaps with the Monaco Yacht Show (September 23-26). For clients attending both events, a transfer cruise from Monaco to Saint-Tropez (4h 30m) between the two dates can be perfectly organized on the same vessel. Our team manages the complete logistics.
The benchmark format for following the regattas in the Gulf. Panoramic flybridge for views of the courses, main deck for meals at sea, on-board tender to approach the sailing yachts, and 4 to 5 en-suite cabins for overnight stays. A crew of 5 to 8 members, including an on-board chef.
Our units EOL B (34 m LOA, 9 passengers, crew of 4), TINY WAVE (34 m LOA, 10 passengers, crew of 6), and SILVER WAVE (45 m LOA, 12 passengers, zero-speed stabilizers, crew of 8) are available during Les Voiles, subject to availability.
For groups of 6 to 10 people desiring a more intimate format. Aft cockpit to follow the regattas from water level, and a high-quality tender for close-up approaches to the racing yachts.
AMELIA (20 m LOA, 10 passengers, crew of 2) and PURE (27 m LOA, 6 passengers, crew of 3) — available in September-October.
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez takes place in late September — during the transition between high season and low season. Rates are significantly lower than the event weeks in May and June — offering excellent value for an event of this magnitude.
