MIPCOM — the International Market for Co-Production and Entertainment Content — is the world’s largest gathering for the television and streaming industry. For its 42nd edition, it will take over the Palais des Festivals in Cannes from October 12 to 15, 2026, for four intense days of deals, screenings, and negotiations among the sector’s most influential players. More than 12,000 delegates from 110 countries, over 3,000 buyers, and 1,500 exhibiting companies — Hollywood studios, global streaming platforms, national TV networks, independent producers, and international distributors.
MIPCOM is often described as “the market where one week of business is worth a year of meetings” — in four days, the event brings together all decision-makers in the global audiovisual industry. For the professionals attending, every hour counts and every meeting has direct commercial value. Chartering a superyacht during MIPCOM means turning that intensity into a competitive advantage: a private, premium, memorable reception venue 200 metres from the Palais des Festivals, available at any time and entirely under your control.
International Yachts Charter and Brokerage XXIII has been supporting producers, distributors, platforms, and studios in selecting and organising their yacht charters during MIPCOM for several seasons.
MIPCOM 2026 takes place from Monday, October 12 to Thursday, October 15, 2026 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, Boulevard de la Croisette. MIP Junior — the market dedicated to children’s content — precedes the event on October 10 and 11.
Key MIPCOM figures:
The ecosystem present: Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Apple TV+, HBO, BBC, Canal+, TF1, RTL Group, Mediaset, and all the distributors, producers, and financiers that supply these platforms. Deals concluded at MIPCOM shape a significant share of global programming for the following 18 months.
Charters generally cover the week from Friday, October 9 to Friday, October 16, with some clients arriving early for MIP Junior (Oct 10–11) and staying after closing for follow-up meetings.
MIPCOM turns Cannes into a market city for four days. The hotels on La Croisette — Carlton, Martinez, Majestic — become improvised meeting spaces where appointments follow one another in crowded lobbies. Restaurants turn people away from lunchtime onwards. Every professional is looking for a quiet space for their most important negotiations.
Your yacht is that space. Controlled access, total confidentiality, an atmosphere tailored to you, and crew available at all times. A co-production meeting on the flybridge of a 40-metre superyacht moored in the Vieux Port, with views over La Croisette and onboard chef service, leaves an impression that neither hotel meeting rooms nor brasserie terraces can match.
MIPCOM’s clientele is fundamentally different from other Cannes events. They are professionals seasoned in international negotiations, accustomed to premium environments but not particularly swayed by glamour for its own sake — what they value is efficiency and the quality of the working setting. A yacht at MIPCOM is not a status symbol; it is an operational tool.
The most in-demand formats among audiovisual professionals during MIPCOM:
Several superyachts in our selection are equipped with high-definition home cinema systems for private screenings on board. For producers and distributors wishing to organise private premieres or exclusive screenings for their buyer partners, the yacht becomes a unique screening room on the water — an experience impossible to replicate in the Festival’s onshore venues.
Contact our team for specific availability for screening configurations, depending on the yachts.
October is one of the best times of the year to cruise the French Riviera. Peak tourist season is over, anchorages and ports are significantly less crowded, the sea is still 20–22°C, and weather conditions are generally stable. This autumn calm contrasts with the buzz of MIPCOM on La Croisette — a tension between professional intensity and the late-season Mediterranean softness that makes the yachting experience particularly memorable.
Trips to the Îles de Lérins outside market hours — a half-hour cruise from the Vieux Port — offer a decompression that few other Cannes events allow you to enjoy to the same extent.
Ideal for independent production companies or regional distributors seeking a private, human-scale venue for 8 to 12 people. Indoor lounge configurable as a meeting room, aft cockpit for breaks and cocktails, 2 to 3 cabins for overnight stays.
AMELIA (20 m LOA, 10 guests, crew of 2) and PURE (27 m LOA, 6 guests, crew of 3) — available in October, low-season rates from €37,500/week, excluding APA.
The benchmark format for studios, streaming platforms, and major distribution groups. Indoor lounge with screening capability, large deck for receptions of 20 to 30 guests, 4 to 5 en-suite cabins for resident teams, multilingual crew of 5 to 8 members.
TINY WAVE (34 m LOA, 10 guests, crew of 6), EOL B (34 m LOA, 9 guests), SILVER WAVE (45 m LOA, 12 guests, at-anchor stabilisers, crew of 8) — available in October. Indicative rates between €60,000 and €200,000/week, excluding APA.
Good news for MIPCOM: as it takes place in October — the end of peak season — rates are noticeably lower than the event weeks in May and June. It is one of the best value-for-money periods in the Cannes calendar for a high-level professional charter.
October is a transition period between peak season (June–September) and low season (November–April). Rates are significantly lower than during Festival or Cannes Lions weeks — a major advantage for companies whose event budgets are planned across the year.
| Category | LOA | Indicative rate (MIPCOM week) |
|---|---|---|
| Motor Yacht | 20-30 m | €20,000 – €50,000 |
| Superyacht | 30-40 m | €50,000 – €150,000 |
| Premium superyacht | 40-45 m | €120,000 – €250,000 |
| Mega Yacht | 45 m+ | €200,000 – €600,000+ |
These rates are excluding APA (25 to 35% of the base rate). Standard MYBA contract. For full estimates, see our Cannes yacht charter prices page.
A non-negotiable for media professionals: all superyachts in our selection are equipped with VSAT satellite connectivity systems, ensuring a stable and fast onboard connection. Video calls, access to streaming platforms for screenings, heavy file sharing — onboard connectivity is treated as standard equipment, not an option.
On request, the indoor lounge of our superyachts can be configured as a workspace: boardroom table layout for 8 to 12 people, connected presentation screen, flip chart, projection equipment. Crew briefing on discreet service protocol during business meetings.
MIPCOM is the most international event in the Cannes calendar — 110 nationalities represented. Our crews are fluent in French and English as standard. Crews with additional language skills (Spanish, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese) are available on request, depending on the composition of your teams and guests.
MIPCOM is part of a sequence of professional events that spans the entire autumn on the Riviera. For companies with a regular presence in Cannes, an annual view of events helps optimise charters and budgets:
Autumn 2026:
For clients attending several Cannes events in autumn, our team offers long-term charters covering multiple weeks — a solution that is often more economical than several separate short charters.
For clients arriving from Monaco after the Monaco Yacht Show (September 23–26), a Cannes–Monaco yacht transfer can be perfectly arranged on the same yacht.
October 12–15, 2026. Berths in the Vieux Port are generally booked in July–August for October’s MIPCOM. The earlier the booking is confirmed, the wider the choice of yachts.
